Hey Pythonista,
AI tools are incredible, but they've created a new problem: AI Slop.
Maintainers are drowning in half-baked code, and many devs are accidentally outsourcing their thinking to the model.
If you want the benefits without the mess, follow these 4 Golden Rules:
1. Clarity over "Vibes"
Never start with "build X." If you can't write a 3-sentence spec, you aren't ready for AI. AI shouldn't compensate for your lack of clarity.
2. Review, don't just Copy-Paste
Treat the AI as a junior dev, not a wizard. If you don't understand the code it gave you, don't merge it. Period.
3. Tooling is your BS Detector
AI is world-class at code that looks right but fails at runtime. Use tests and linters as non-negotiable guardrails.
4. Design first, AI second
Sketch your data model and flow in a text file first. Use AI to challenge your design, not invent it for you.

The Bottom Line:
AI is a power tool, but it's a "slop machine" if you switch your brain off.
To lead the tool—rather than follow it—you need rock-solid fundamentals.
That's exactly what we fix through our coaching. Whether you're building your foundation (PDI) or mastering high-level career skills (PDC / PDM), we provide the human feedback AI can't.
We'll help you build a professional workflow that ensures you remain the architect of your code:

Try this today: Write your own plan first, then ask the AI to "poke holes" in it.
Hit reply and let us know: Where are you seeing the most AI slop lately?
Have a great weekend!
